(Can’t wait to get it) Out of the Box
Today was the day I have been waiting for since I originally agreed to help Portico at KCBT become a reality 8 months ago. The new custom La Marzocco FB80 arrived! When I got the call, after seeing how these machines move around from having attended so many barista competitions, I knew I was heading out just to see a box but I didn’t care. To see THAT box was worth a cross-town road trip! It wasn’t opened or even de-crated today mainly because it was pretty much delivered to a construction site and it won’t to be ready to install for at least another week so it needs to be kept under wraps to keep it safe from damage. I know, I’m pretty bummed about it too, but it is what it is. They just poured the non-skid floor back there today so at least I know they’re making progress.
Mo’ bettah pics and machine details will come out when it gets unpacked but for now, this is what I have. Enjoy the teaser!
