Camp Pull-A-Shot
I wish I had more details about this, but so far, key details like the location are still being worked out by the BGA. But it’s close enough to start talking about it. According to the BGA Facebook page (go ahead and “like” it while you’re there):
“Get ready for Barista Camp! This October the barista community will converge for skill-building and community like never before. More details to follow in the coming weeks, but start saving those tips! We want you there! If you are not already a BGA member, join now and you will see significant savings on registration fees. It will be the best $45 you have ever spent. See you in October!“
This has been bantered about for a few years now and it’s great to see it get so close to a reality! Should be a good time by all. I’ll keep you in the loop.

Again, big props to Mike Philips of Intelligentsia Coffee and Tea for a successful USBC title defense. Hether Perry of Coffee Klatch has won twice, but this is the first back-to-back wins for any competitor in USBC history. In case you missed it, this both his semi-final and finals round.
